Eileen Postma, a native of Michigan, has made Manistee her home since 1997. She has been drawing and painting most of her life, and made a career in graphic design in southeastern Michigan and Manistee. She is married and has raised three children, but is now devoting her attention back to what she truly loves - fine art.
“I love to do outdoor scenes, wildlife and flowers, as well as various architecture. Northern Michigan provides wonderful subject matter for an artist – everywhere I look there is something I want to draw or paint. Whether it’s the historic buildings, homes and farms, freighters and lighthouses, or the forests with all of the beautiful wildflowers and wildlife, it’s easy to be inspired by the beauty here in Michigan.”
Postma’s art has been exhibited in Hardy Hall at the Ramsdell Regional Center for the Arts, in Frankfort, Empire, Arcadia and at the Healing Arts Gallery at Munson Medical Center in Manistee. All prints available for sale.
